Hitech Social Media Community Code

Here at Hitech, we’re big fans of social media. The ability to communicate and engage directly with our global fanbase is extremely important to us; we want to keep you updated with team news, hear your views and stories, and start conversations on topics relevant to our racing, our mission, and our values.

We’re committed to providing a respectful, fun, and safe online space for our community to experience and share the passion that our sport inspires. In doing so, we ask you to follow the guidelines within our Community Code.

We have a zero-tolerance policy on all forms of discrimination, harassment, abuse, and bullying, including racism, gender bias, homophobia, insults, threats, defamation, hate speech, posts that encourage dangerous behaviour or violence,  and the use of offensive, sexually explicit or obscene images and/or commentary. In addition to the social media channels’ own terms of use, we reserve the right to take appropriate action in response to any posts or comments that violate our guidelines – including banning, deleting, muting, blocking, or reporting.

Use of our social media channels is subject to the normal platform terms of use:

The services and content are designed for individuals 13 years of age or older.

As a user of the service you are expected to uphold this Community Code, and are responsible for all activities and content or comments you post/upload. You should always read through the platform’s terms of use and this Community Code so you know what is acceptable, and what isn’t, on that platform and for Hitech.

In addition to upholding this Community Code, you are responsible for adhering to all applicable local and national laws.

Our Guidelines

We welcome:

  • A positive, inclusive, and supportive community environment where our fans can come together and share their passion for motorsport
  • Expressing your opinions and making your voices heard, although we may not always agree!
  • Respectful conversation
  • Photos and video content that are appropriate for public and general universal viewing

We do not tolerate:

  • Discriminatory, abusive, insulting, defamatory, and obscene posts or comments of any kind
  • Incitement of violence, through words or imagery
  • Swearing
  • Unlawful posts or comments

We are not responsible for the content of any posting, listing or message not created by us. The decision to view content or engage with others is yours. We advise you to use your judgment.

We take the necessary action to protect our drivers, team members, partners, and fans.

We reserve the right to apply our own interpretation of such posts in the interests of upholding our Community Code standards.

We call upon our community to help us uphold respectful standards. If you encounter behaviour that is causing you harm and distress, we strongly advise that you report this directly to the respective social media platform where you witnessed the incident, according to the published reporting procedures of that platform.

We reserve the right to amend or change our Community Code at any time without notice. We encourage you to read these guidelines from time to time to ensure you are aware of changes.

If you witness posts or comments by our Followers that you believe violate our Community Code, you can report this to us at report@hitechgp.co.uk providing as much information as possible. We will apply our own interpretation of respectful standards and any action will be at our discretion.

If you feel that you have been the victim of, or have witnessed, a crime on social media, you should report this to the police.
